Since when does the "city of Brownsville" do a press conference for a candidate who is announcing they are running for office?
Beto is a good person who will never be Texas Governor. It is much easier for Ted Cruz to be governor than for Beto. Not only because there are many Hispanics that vote Republican, but because many Mexican-Americans all they do is complain but don't vote. Democrats need people that vote. Another factor is that president 45 poisoned so much the system that people in both extremes either do or don't but never want to meet half way. Our mayor (who if I am not mistaken is a democrat) is one of the many local opportunists that has enough money to advertise during campaign but he is the same as the one before him. Republicans locally do not have a chance because they are too connected with the national view of their party as white supremacists and even moderates or independents do not believe in their word. Beto has been in the national stage so he should fight the opposition (let it be read Abbott ) with the same utensils used by them, otherwise it will be another failed attempt.
