More than 50,000 Rio Grande Valley residents are calling on Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Hidalgo County District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez, Jr. to drop the capital murder charges against two brothers who beat Gabriel Quintanilla, 42, their stepfather, to death after their nine-year-old sister told them he had sexually abused her at a Pharr trailer park.
At the time of the attack, Quintanilla had an arrest warrant for sexually abusing another child.
The two brothers and a friend – Christian and Alexandro Trevino, 17, and 18, and friend Juan Melendez, 18 – were arrested last Thursday after Quintanilla's body was found in a field by a rancher.
Pharr police have charged Melendez and Christian Trevino with capital murder and aggravated assault. police said. Alejandro Trevino was charged with aggravated assault and engaging in organized criminal activity
The brothers fought with Quintanilla at the trailer park – and all three left before another physical dispute broke out in a nearby apartment complex.
According to KRGV, Pharr police said a rancher discovered Quintanilla in an open field in McAllen with blunt force trauma to the head.
Police said the girl’s brothers learned of the accusations and confronted Quintanilla, leading to an altercation. Quintanilla reportedly then left the area on foot and at some point, Alexandro Trevino arrived in a car driven by Melendez.
The three teens allegedly drove back to the complex in a truck and spotted Quintanilla, who was walking alone and injured. Police said the trio attacked Quintanilla a third time, put him in the bed of the truck, and drove him to the open field where the rancher found him deceased.
Now Rio Grande Valley residents consider them heroes for defending their little sister and said justice had been served. They are calling on prosecutors to drop or lessen the charges against them.

He dies later from being taught a lesson, but he was on the run for molesting another little girl and they felt they had to stop him and that is what they did. The police didn’t or couldn’t stop him. Poor girl and poor boys. Justice was served.

The thought was noble, but the act was criminal.
(They should have just kicked his ass, not killed him)
No one is above the law, except Trump.
Sorry 50,000 Morons; there is something called the RULE OF LAW, a foreign concept to a Democrat idiots.
Did they discuss it with their mother?
Apparently not.
Judges make allowances for circumstances (this charge is murder, tho), like the convicted rapist white kid who was kept out of prison by a white judge here recently.
They used weapons
That are prohibited in Texas
Why would anyone own or possess brass knuckles ?
Don't know if given all the facts any jury would convict them! Get a good lawyer and a jury and see what happens.
God will protect them. They are innocent.
God had no mercy with this type of stepfather.
Some of you reading this blog, would have done worse things to this stepfather.
DO NOT DENY IT.
They did a great job. Now let them free.
Brass knuckles became legal in Texas last September.
It's the mother's fault for getting a boyfriend instead of a box of female toys. Vieja pendeja
