EDUCATOR, GOOD FRIEND, PASSES AWAY; WILL BE MISSED

From all his friends in the Brownsville Independent School District , including the gang at Southwinds Lounge, we are sorry to report that Brownsville has lost a good friend and model teacher.

Alberto Olguin, age 63, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Alberto was born July 9, 1958 to Lorenza Olguin Villarreal † and Josefat Olguin †.

He is preceded in death by his parents Josefat Olguin and Lorenza Olguin Villarreal and brother Adelaido Martinez (Olga).

He is survived by his wife Ma De Lourdes Olguin Solis, his children Ivan Pinales and Allyson R. Olguin-Martinez, his siblings; Margarita Gonzalez (Adolfo), Minnie Zamora (Robert), Rosie Olguin Reyna and Josefat Olguin (Fide).

He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ivan Pinales, Adolfo Gonzalez Jr., Pablo Garza, Robert Zamora, Albert Esparza, and Emilio Pinales.

A mass was be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 2 pm followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Albert, we will miss you. May peace be with him and his family.

Well, Albert is now on an eternal sail across the universe, bro. Pues, que la vaya bien. Como gasta la vida uno. Que chingados voy a hacer hoy que vale la pena de ser humano, de estar vivo!!??

We new each other since childhood days, he was a very kind and caring person. Always helping our youth find their confidence and purpose. We will miss you Amigo!!!

If Montoya wrote about his passing, Olguin meant something to the community.
