Texas vs Miami (FL) Prediction & Pick

Miami's win over Houston was impressive, but Texas poses a different challenge. The Cougars simply didn't have the offensive talent to keep up with the Hurricanes, whereas the Longhorns average 77.9 PPG (No. 25) on 47.2 percent shooting (No. 24). The latter is also shooting 43.8 percent from the three-point line over its last three games.

Texas has the defensive advantage as well, allowing just 67.3 PPG (No. 82) while Miami surrenders 71.7 PPG (No. 211). That's not even mentioned that the Longhorns force an average of 15.8 turnovers (No. 17) compared to the Hurricanes' 12.4 (No. 166), which has dropped to 10.7 over the previous three outings.

I won't be surprised if this turns into a back-and-forth affair, but Texas' superior defense and high-flying offense will help it seal the deal.

Final Score Prediction: Texas: 81 | Miami: 77

Instead of working to fix an antiquated funding system for public schools in Texas, Republican Greg Abbott chooses to take taxpayer money and give it to private schools.

Shouldn’t this require voter approval? This is the first step to dismantling public education in this state. Take the money away from public schools that are already struggling and give it to private schools.

Private schools have admission policies and can dismiss unruly or troublesome students easily. Public schools must serve the masses. When the playing field slants in your direction, you can’t help but succeed.

If you meet up with three/four women of the same size at a bar, it won't matter which one you pick: All three/four pussies will be about the same.

I've been there.

stop hiring and promoting the terminally stupid from the bottom of the gene pool. Ignorance of the law and constitutional rights have no place in the public sector like city county bisd port and other govenment jobs... FACT

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott wants parents to have a choice and has been campaigning for private and other schools.

"We will not use your taxpayer dollars to teach our kids to hate … America," and “Our children are being taught a radical, woke agenda,” says Abbott.

This begs the question, who is responsible for the school system that our governor disparages? If there is any criticism levied at our schools, should it not be directed internally - towards you, Greg Abbott?

Now with six new members, mostly conservatives, the 15-member State Board of Education walked back its opposition to school vouchers.

The pandemic was hard enough on students and teachers without having our leadership pull the rug out from underneath the system. Given the challenges facing our schools, and given that the state has just taken over the Houston school district, how is it possible that the SBOE is not 100% focused on making Texas’ public school programs better?

BASKETBALL WRAP -

Texas was supposed to have the offense. Miami dropped 88 points on the Horns to send them home in defeat. Miami has more offense than Vegas gave them credit for. Yeah.

FINAL FOUR lineup: San Diego State, UConn, Florida Atlantic University and Miami (yes, two Florida schools). None was a Top Seed. Welcome to college basketball Division 1 parity.

Our prediction: UConn wins it all!

By the way, for most uninitiated Mexicans here: The NCAA long-ago approved use of a smaller basketball by women's teams than ones used in men's games. The basket is the same height (10-feet) and size (18 inches in diameter), however.

Despite a widespread local belief, the game was NOT invented by Juan N. Cortina.
