LABOR GROUPS' CITY ENDORSEMENTS KEPT HUSH-HUSH

 Special to El Rrun-Rrun

The executive committees of the Brownsville Police Association, the Brownsville Firefighters and the teachers (Texas Valley Educators Association) – voted on Saturday to endorse candidates for the May 6 City of Brownsville Commission and then mayor.

But they haven't told anyone yet. And we don't know when they will. In fact, the cop and firefighter cybersites still have the 2021 city elections endorsements, but nary a word about this year's elections.

But we've managed to glean their choices from social media posts by the candidates and the Firefighters and Police endorsed the following:

Mayor: Jessica Tetreau

At Large A: Susan Ruvalcaba

District 1: Bryan Martinez

District 2: Linda Macias

* The endorsements from the police and firefighters were identical for all four the candidates. We are trying to find out what the teachers' choices were. Anyone out there know?

Do these endorsements make a difference? It may work both ways. The endorsees sure hope so, while the ones not chosen might take it as an incentive to campaign  harder and prove the labor guys wrong.

Endorsements, fuckdorsements. They're meaningless.

Who believes a Brownsville cop or fireman has the brains?

I don't.

Analysis -

Jessica Tetreau: Airhead

Bryan Martinez: Punk

Tino Villarreal: Lightweight

Linda Macias: Hottie

(Second-tier candidates):

John Cowen: Vindictive, Pro-Anglo

Susan Rubalcaca: Mayra Flores wannabe

Nurith Galonsky: El Paya Jerry's, uh, Pal

Erasmo Castro: Shit Personified

What's Her Name Stanton: Kitchen Material

Caty Presas-Garcia has stopped campaigning, Juan. She's given up.

Looks like Linda Macias has a clear runway.

Youth over Age, huh?

That is absolutely insane. They have to be smarter then listen to false promises.
Weak.

Jennifer Stanton is the only candidate for mayor who is a new comer. All of the rest are seasoned politicians who have done little if anything for Brownsville. I personally plan to vote for Stanton because I would like to see change.

Jessica Tetreau's election as mayor would be a national success story. Just imagine going from a shot girl at Stiletto's to the wife of a car wash owner, a write-in winner for city commissioner, to the mayor of the largest city in the Rio Grande Valley!

It would not surprise me if a movie was made of such a turnaround if life's fortunes.

"From Party Girl to Mayor of a City" could be the working title.

Good choices but DO NOT RE-ELECT NO ONE, NADA NADA Y NADA. We know what they can do NADA.

Anonymous said...

I would keep those a secret too.
Could it be because of recent labor votes/raise discussions?
No credibility.

Remember it’s easy to vote YES when you know it’s going to fail—-don’t be fooled. Oh wait. Too late.

I agree we need change nobody in this city commission should be elected or reelected. They have done nothing for this city and its citizens.

Those endorsements are way overrated at this point except maybe the teacher association they got power by numbers. The endorsement mattered only when the B.U.C.K was around they got shit done and it was funny to watch all these politicians kneel and kiss ass at the time FACTS!! The fire dept got BUCK started and was very organized back in the day not shure what there doing now.,also cops are not organized to vote they just like taking pictures and shine there badge.

How about the story of someone who became a Brownsville Commissioner who started off good then went 180 and is now the most corrupt politician we have. Hasn't fixed one road in our area, allows any trucking company to pave their parking lot with caliche. Has no problem having gas tanker trucks next to people's homes. And never returns a call once you call her out on her bullshit. She's the only politician that is being protested and for good reason.

Jessica, tell Renee and both Maricela's to pave their parking lots, have them build a blast proof wall for the residents in Aubuck Rd. Stop rezoning residential to industrial, especially where people live. Have them not idle their loud trucks at night. 69 decibels at 3 am is criminal.

Jessica did research, her research consists of how can I get away with it. Her racist policies show a lack of ethics and respect for those that live in her district.

Aubuck Rd went from residential to light industrial. She should be ashamed of herself. She's done nothing good in this area other than serving these unethical businesses. There's way more to this.

Jessica are these tanker trucks empty of explosive fuels?

Please join me and my fellow educators in supporting JESSICA TETREAU FOR MAYOR!!!

Jessica Tetreau was my student when I taught at Hanna in 1999.

Anonymous said...

Agree with that selection except for Rubalcava. She’s a NO! She is short-tempered and rude. She will not work well with the rest of the commissioners.

(Jessica Tetreau: Airhead)

She has flabby legs and butt. Seen her wearing shorts at her carwash. Gorgeous to the max. And yup, I'm votin for her.

With a Jessica Tetreau win, Brownsville will have a gorgeous mayor. A mayor with class, grace, and bubbly personality. She will win the hearts and minds of all.

Let's all surprise these selfish, greedy, self centered, corrupt thieves and vote Stanton in who has no ties to anyone. Let's get a fresh start with someone with a clean slate. So she has no experience, but she can learn while in office. Let's flush all that old stinking shit politicians that did no good for Brownsville. Fuera!!!

Brownsville police union endorsing Tetreau, what a bunch of fools, they are doing whatever Felix tells them to do. See Felix got the chief position because of Tetreau. Her best friend Diana M, who was at one point Felix's girlfriend hooked Felix up with Tetreau, who then pushed for him to get the chief position. Then Felix had to fire Diana for being a thieve. Felix hooked up all of the union board members with special assignments, so the union board does whatever Felix wants. So if Felix wants Tetreau, the union will endorse Tetreau. The union also recently voted to reduce insurance benefits of retirees, because Felix says they are not owed anything. According to Felix, They chose to be cops and they don't need benefits or recognition when they retire. that's what Felix and Tetreau wanted so the union voted for that. I'm surprised that you only write about Sheriff Garza, when Felix is worse than Garza. Felix does not care about the safety of Brownsville People, he cares about one person and one person only, and that would be himself. The union and Felix have turned their backs on police officers and citizens. If you don't believe this, just look at the real crime numbers, especially murder numbers which have gone up at an incredible rate. Erasmo never stood a chance of being endorsed by police union. he wasted his time attending that forum.

Voting for Stanton. Compare her humble grassroots campaign with smaller scarce signs around town compared to the others who have spent a lot more money and have bigger signs all over town. That is enough to tell you that they are being funded by the elite and corrupt that will want favors once they're in office. I'm voting for Stanton, not the continuance of corruption.

do not reelect no one what have they done nadanaday nada. Need new people that can do things fix the city not theirselves and their family and voting friends.
DO NOT RE-ELECT NO ONE WHAT HAVE THEY DONE NADA NADA Y NADA....

If I were to exclude those candidates that have criminal records/arrests. Who would be left? Now exclude those that have a record (internet videos) of throwing hands to resolve conflicts. Now, who is left?

Now exclude those who have a record of making promises and reneging on them. Now, who is left.

I am glad to see that people are finally opening up their eyes and can see that our Chief of Police is dangerous which means that our police are going to act dangerously as a result of his actions.
They already are and they are committing crimes and putting our citizens in danger and violating our rights. We need new leadership.

We need someone smart and someone who isn't already bought and paid for. JTK, JC, and the others are already bought and paid for. We need people who know what the job is going to entail. Stanton knows and in dealing with jerks, you learn how to navigate through the CAGADA. There is way too much of that. Brownsville is FILTHY and it needs to be cleaned up. We should start with the CHIEF OF POLICE, THE CITY MANAGER and we need new city attorneys who are not defending and enboldening corrupt police.

and TINO COCHINO VILLARREAL is COWAN's Lap dog. You don't want to give Cowan any power. Render him powerless by not voting for him or COCHINO!

It is sad that COP FELIX has decided to get behind Tetreau knowing she is going to cut the police budget AGAIN. If they vote for Tetreau they are voting against themselves.

But then again this is Brownsville PD.

Bryan has my vote. New blood is what we need!

Anonymous said...

Call me when the Police, Fire, and Teachers get over 20% of their members to vote. Then I'll be impressed.

Anonymous said...

Glad someone pointed out the connection of this Tino guy if he is closely associated with Cowen then he's connected to Galonsky fuuuuck that!!!

Anonymous said...

Police are going to get more than 20% of their families and themselves to vote for Erasmo. Union and Chief and his followers have betrayed those that go out to the streets to so their job and risk their lifes every day
