Very unprofessional that Luis Saenz used this for political purposes, trashing the CCSO investigators like that on his post. They worked long hours on securing the arrest warrant in the middle of the night, the information of his possible whereabouts was given by the SO to all agencies for assistance and now he wants to take credit for the case, very lame. In fact we heard on the radio the CCSO Investigator 316 arriving almost at the same time the DAs Inv. Great Job Mr. Saenz! You catched the guy because of "technology".

9:24 the answer to your question is very simple: because they can!! Whose gonna stop them from getting those raises-? From looking the other way to the increasing crime numbers? Same happens at all levels of our local government/ city entities. 1 quick example: city manager (close to $ 300,000 /yr) and thats with 3-4 assistant city managers at $180,000 plus salaries each!!! There is no transparency/accountability and much less a “ checks and balances system “ to keep this corruption under control. Yes the ordinary employee has a job but $ raises are very few apart or non existent . We are in bad shape with no end in sight.
First and foremost, glad this guy is off the streets but now the circus begins. WHO TAKES THE CREDIT ?? Its doesn’t matter who arrested him !! ITS YOUR JOB!! ITS YOUR DUTY. TO SERVE AND PROTECT!! Mr. Saenz you should learn all the facts first, that's why your ADAs keep loosing so many cases, or maybe talk to your investigator a little bit more. Maybe you're going to learn that he only detained the suspect for investigation purposes after receiving the BOLO from the sheriff department. Whoever wrote your post need to do a little bit more research. Great job to the SO and DAs.

Shotout to the CCSO patrol division who were the first one on scene and assisted on locating this criminal.
It doesn't matter who caught the guy it just matters that he was caught. What I heard on the radio was that Brownsville pd gave inormation to the sheriff's office that the guys vehicles was seen on the expressway in brownsville. I along with several other of our deputies responded to the area to try and find the vehicle but we didn't see it. About an hour later we heard on the radio a da investigator say that he found the vehicle and that he was walking towards a guy. Then he called out that it was the guy we were looking for and said that he had arrested him. My office did a great job arriving to the crime scene and getting a warrant for the guy. We also did good looking for the guy but it just so happened that another agency other than us found him and arrested him. What I see wrong is that the sheriff office put out a Facebook post without even mentioning the da office or any other agency. Why? We were all out there looking. Why not give credit to whoever found him whats the harm in doing that. I heard our office also told the fbi they didn't need there help when they were offered by fbi. Nothing seems to change here. We got big ego's here with people who only think about themselves looking good and throwing everyone else under the bus.
