It’s been more than two weeks since Hamas launched its assault on Israel, killing at least 1,400 people and taking more than 200 hostages.
Health authorities in Gaza said over 5,000 people have been killed since the Oct. 7 start of the war between Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel. More than 15,000 have been injured, the authorities said.
CNBC could not independently verify these numbers.
The Israel Defense Forces said Monday that its soldiers were conducting a “variety of training exercises in order to improve the forces’ readiness and capabilities for ground operations in the Gaza Strip.”
Still, a full surrender of Hamas and the return of Israeli hostages could end Israel's war in the Gaza Strip, Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Jonathan Conricus told ABC Radio Melbourne.

It's like a killer begging for mercy after killing your family. If you weren't self employed, you would have been fired for defending Hamas. Hamas brought this on the children of the lesser god of islam.
The Palestinians elected Hamas by 44.45% of the overall votes cast. The Palestinians knew exactly what they were voting for but preferred to sleep with the devil. Now they are crying! Hamas attacked and butchered Israelian women and children. They declared war on Israel now Israel needs to end it. The United States currently being governed by weakness has never understood war. When was the last time the United States actually won a war? Yet government officials think they are very knowledgeable on the subject. The United States needs to quit meddling in the affairs of Israel and let them fight their own war. In keeping the Israelian military forces from a ground invasion is buying time for Hamas and the other terrorists groups to regroup. Hamas is not releasing anyone unless we stop the invasion and pay millions like we did with Iran. And lets quit the BS and bring all carriers back. We’re not going to use them. We are weak and scared. We are scared of Iran, China, Russia and North Korea and not to mention our own shadow. Taiwan better be watching and listening because they are next. We need Trump!
