@ 10:56 PM - Not everyone is jealous, I am surely not. Let's be real for a minute. State and federal elected officials rarely answer their letters; I can only imagine that the president, any president red or blue, never answers his letters. He has a multitude of lower-level staff that answer correspondence and handle basic awards and recognitions. Many moons ago, I interned for a congressman and I was responsible for these types of letters. They were pretty much cut-and-paste letters that were stamped with the congressman's signature. We had scripts on how to answer letters and respond to questions over the phone. The congressman rarely got involved with these matters unless it regarded a well-known constituent or if it was a hot political matter. Even then, he would only give the chief of staff general direction and we would take care of the rest.
