The Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center (BARCC) hosted its inaugural A TOAST TO TAILS GALA at the Brownsville Event Center on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Sponsors' support will tremendously impact the shelter’s resources and the animals BARCC serves daily. Organizers are hopeful that with widespread community support they can shed some positive light on the shelter and the resources it provides for the community and our furry friends. Between table sponsors and donations, BARCC collected more than $30,000 to continue its work sheltering our little friends.)
The City of Brownsville commission was represented by (L-R) Mayor John Cowen, District 2 commissioner Linda Macias, District 1 commissioner Bryan L. Martinez, and District 3 commissioner Roy De los Santos.
