Does Gov. Greg Abbott really and truly want to solve the border issue? I’m not sure. He is most certainly a smart man, smart enough to come up with better ideas than he has so far. His confrontational, go-it-alone solutions have yielded little to no results.
Here is a suggestion: He could reach out to New Mexico, Arizona and California to form a coalition with other states grappling with the same problem. Then work with federal authorities to develop and implement a practical border solution.
He’d establish himself as a true leader (on a national stage) and develop a reputation as a creative problem solver, willing to transcend party politics to solve real-world issues. Everybody wins.
We all want to see less division, less conflict and more unity. The governor surely knows this and has the power to bring it forth. Why doesn’t he?

When I married my husband I kept my Father's last name. However, as a sign of respect for my marriage Christmas cards, invitations, or anything that needs to go out from our family I always address with my husband's name. This is still a white man's world. Maybe in a not so far distant future things will change but right now things are the way they have always been.
In the eyes of society what Flores committed was a grave mistake. Her husband, el pobre, is viewed as a mandilon. What a selfish woman.

Who the heck gives a crap if her last name is Flores or Villegas? I am still voting for her even if her last name was Montoya. All I care is about getting the demorats out of DC.
The Christmas card should have read from the Vallejo family. Even if she does not use her husband's name the family unit is Vallejo. The children's last names are Vallejo i assume. Not Flores.
But there you go again she is a narcissist, arrogant, ignorant woman who has no clue as to how to properly address her family. She makes it all about her. Imagine what she must be like to be married to her. She wears the pants and he is Mr.Mom.
Also why is she taking a picture with an alpaca..to look cute. Maybe a burro from Burgos would have been more authentic given she mentions being from Burgos a zillion times and pronounces Mexico like Mexijo.
