Ben was a good man and a good friend, one more reason for me to head south for another visit to Brownsville. He and one of his sons came to our family ranch in the Hill Country to witness the annular solar eclipse earlier this year. He was something of an eclipse tourist, traveling here and there to experience them. He was planning on returning for the April solar eclipse. Hopefully his sons will come in his place, and we can celebrate Ben's life, generosity and public service. Condolences from San Antonio.

Dude went while riding a treadmill. I do that quite a bit, myself. Did I mention we're the same age? 68. And we graduated from the same highschool and on the same year 73. My time's coming. I really hope it happens while I'm riding my TM.

I met Ben at Tsc in the 70's. Attended St Mary's and became friends. I can still remember he would play his guitar in the dorms. Very friendly and easy going young man. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. My condolences.
