Some Mexicans give their children gringo names because they are family names. Haven't you ever met a dark ass Mexican called Milton, Johnny, Doris, or Donny. BTW all of the names are pronounced with a Spanish accent.
Humans can't be blamed for what their parents named them. However, I agree if you are named Perla it is irritating to want people to call you Pearl but hey you know what if you lost your identity somewhere along the way better you than me.
