Rose Gowen doesnt care. Never has. She just can’t help it, its just her sense of entitlement that blocks any common sense or true desire of public service. That seems to be same sentiment/attitude of all these elected officials. Its all about SELF SERVICE. They all hold these positions for the betterment of themselves. The lack of concern for the needs of the community from these losers is astounding . Their hidden agendas are more important than fixing the real issues in our town. History proves this: year after year , different officials, same issues ( street disrepair, flooding, trash everywhere, lack of police patrols and yes bus shelters) exist. The ARROGANCE and EGOTISM of these officials, are far to difficult to ignore. Unless this disdainful culture changes, we will continue to complain until we’re blue in the face and we will NEVER see these issues resolved.
Gowen, the commissioner that doesn't know where Brownsville is located? The Do nothing commissioner that can hold the position at large forever and continue to build the Brownsville bike and hike trails at the cost of the suffering of the majority of taxpayers of Brownsville. Gowen gets on her bicycle in her living room to go to the restroom in her house. That's the time she rides her bike, to take a shit on the faces of the taxpayers and cleans her ass with the taxpayers money. This is what the voters who didn't vote in the election get to represent them, an idiot.

I would like to see the BUS Administration use the bus to get to work and stand at a bus stop without shelter to know how it feels. I guarantee that the bus stops will have shelters installed the following day.

The bus daily schedules should be updated and posted in this blog.
The students from the college could make it a project to keep stats on the number of riders.
Maybe the blog could list including photos) of the shelters presently available.
The remaining spots without shelters could be listed so that benefactors like HEB or some other large business could donate their excessive profits in the community.
Grant writers could apply for funds for extra buses and extra bus drivers.
Bus drivers could be trained to TAKE THEIR TIME rather than have strict time schedules.
These strict time schedules cause accidents.
Metro. for instance, has had multiple accidents.
The UTRGV bus travels daily between Brownsville and Edinburg campuses.
These UTRGV buses are an accident waiting to happen.
The UTRGV buses travel at excessive speed and are trying their best to keep schedules on time as the students who use the UTRGV are trying to make the classes on time.
Maybe the BISD buses could be incorporated into the bus system.
Ah, the heck with it.
Just expand the taxi services.
Allow independent drivers take on as many passengers anytime without any taxi companies rates charge everyone $5 flat rate to get anywhere in the City of Brownsville.
Maybe TESLAs or SpaceX employees could supplement.
This is too enormous a project for anyone.
Wonder if other cities in the lower RGV
have any better mass transit system.
