ABBOTT CAN'T STAND ON HIS RECORD REGARDING SCHOOLS

Schools are closing due to a decrease in the need for educational institutions following the departure of illegal immigrants. This trend also affects the teaching workforce. Furthermore, many educators choose to leave their roles because of excessive workloads and stress associated with their jobs. Issues such as difficulties with student conduct and insufficient professional support further influence their choice to resign. Texas is positioned 28th in mathematics and 25th in reading compared to other U.S. states. What justification is there for increasing teachers' salaries when performance metrics are lacking? The communist party has pledged to either reopen existing schools or construct new ones, along with promises of higher wages for teachers. However, at what cost? Texas cannot afford to be led by an inexperienced politician. Ultimately, educational improvement hinges on addressing fundamental issues, specifically student behavior and the absence of parental involvement. The focal point of this election should not be education, but rather our robust economy. It is perplexing.

I served with 4th inf div with armor unit B Co. 10th Cavalry, the highlands were very hard on tanks M-48 rainy season. DA-TKO we always found NVA troops. a VC 5-man patrol ran over my point man at cross trail but were taken out before reaching hilltop.

That's one I remember.

Why would anyone support a failing school system? Maybe because public schools are about indoctrination.

Nepo Baby Gina’s solution is to tax the hell out of property owners to give raised funding to schools regardless of their performance. Face the truth, after the COVID mess, school needs to be year round if there is any chance kids will catch up with their education. Teachers are paid enough to teach year round, we already feed the kids year round so what’s the problem? Teachers should want what’s best for the students and that’s bringing them up to national standards and the only way is year round schooling.

Greg Abbott is not being a politician; he's a ranch foreman.

And a shitty one, at that.

The reason the schools are failing is because teachers are not allowed to teach. They spend all of their time in “professional development “ while their students are being baby-sat by 80 year old subs. Then the teachers are blamed that the students did not learn anything 🤔 Instead, this the “education” that the students of today get: choice A, B, C and D. Now, A and D obviously don’t make sense so choose the better of B and C. I have news for you: if an electrician comes to fix some wiring in my house, it is not multiple choice. We will all get blown up, so he or she better know WTF they are doing . And there is the problem with the public baby day care system. Just my 2 cents 😘

I differ in opinion. Public schools are good for our country. Thought not everyone appreciates education it is the few that do that make our country successful. Before public education there was only "the poor man's college."

I wonder what succesful historical figure went to "the poor man's college?"

Wrong. Students learn from parents. Chores are the key for raising good kids. Feed the dog, sweep the patio, pick up trash, clean your room, do the dishes, learn to cook etc If your kids do not do chores, they will not be good students.

Fix the TSC medical building in desperate need of repair, a facelift at least. It's named after my father.
Dr. Narciso Cortez A eyesore and disgrace to my family! Looks the same when | attended in that same building many moon's ago. Let’s start with. No lady. Your father’s name should be removed from the building. The name is the eye sore.. The only good thing in that family is Maricela Cortez. Works her butt off.

The enhancement of our educational system is contingent upon addressing student behavior in the classroom and increasing parental involvement. Funding for schools should be determined by performance rather than attendance. Significant efforts are required to effect change. However, simply allocating more funds to the issue, as is often done in communist regimes, fails to provide a solution. This approach merely results in increased costs for taxpayers.
