1.5 million of taxpayer’s money is the amount Trump has spent on advertising for himself. He or his GOP base should be spending their own money. That amount would pay for a lot of free lunches for kids. Republicans say they care about the unborn fetus. Once that fetus matures into a child, they are on their own.
There are plenty of programs designed to address youth hunger in the United States, including federal nutrition programs like SNAP, school meal programs, and initiatives aimed at supporting low-income families. These programs work to improve access to nutritious food and reduce food insecurity among children and youth. Any additional money being requested by the communist party is only money that will end up in their pockets.

Any extra money requested is tax payer money, it doesn't belong to the state or corporations.
SNAP was cut by Trump due to Elon and his DOGE young crew. School meal programs? The Legislature had set aside money for the kids, but Abbott VETOED THE $450,000 for low-income kids. Trump did away with USAID which is food for the hungry across poorer countries. Republicans hate socialism when it comes to food and security for people, yet they don't have a problem with socialism when they get all the perks and tax breaks. The Rich just getting richer. Not even paying more for groceries and gasoline gives some people a wake-up call. They will still vote Red. Why is it that part of the Valley does not see the injustice and racism for they have for Hispanics, Blacks, Muslims, Asians, etc. that the Republican party projects is beyond me. They want a White America. We are just in their way. Trump is doing so many underhanded and unconstitutional shit. Abbott is another one that will give billionaires anything they want.
They still get assistance but it's minimal and a drag to get, it's nothing like a Nordic welfare state where the standard of living is way better. We need a market economy with a better welfare state, a welfare state that taxes corporations and cuts all these tax free loopholes.

My kid hated IDEA they feed kid's prepackaged crap. Then went to Gonzalez and thought the food was great, the staff and teachers were awesome too.
