Dyscalculia is a learning difficulty that primarily affects a person's The ability to understand and work with numbers. Someone with dyscalculia may struggle with:
Basic arithmetic and mental calculations
Understanding quantities and numerical relationships
Remembering multiplication tables
Estimating amounts or distances
Reading charts, clocks, or numerical information
It does not mean the person is unintelligent. In fact, someone with dyscalculia can be exceptionally talented in areas such as language, creativity, music, reasoning, art, or other intellectual pursuits.
So a better way to put it would be:
“Dyscalculia is an interesting learning difficulty. A person may have significant difficulty understanding numbers and mathematics while being highly intelligent and exceptionally capable in many other areas.”
One small correction: saying they have “no sense for numbers” is a little too absolute. The degree of difficulty varies considerably from person to person.

The doctor and her Republican party know shit about education. Schools have interventions when a student is struggling. Vote Democrat!
