Rebecca Forest, founder of the Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas, stood in front of the State Capitol in Austin, spoke into a microphone and said,
If you want to know why we can’t pass legislation in Texas it’s because we have 37, no 36, Hispanics in the Legislature. All of the states that have passed legislation have a handful and I mean literally, some of them have no Hispanic legislators, well, maybe 3 or 5 or something. So that’s, umm, part of our problem and we need to change those numbers.

Nice leap to assume that this is representative of all tea party and repubs. With that logic, it is safe to assume that every self professed democrat send pics of his d*ck over twitter. Promoting 'equality' by advocoting the hate of others is is just as descructive...
If Hispanics don't vote....then they lose their voice. Since Hispanics don't take the time to learn about the system and participate....they can't complain. If Hispanics want the benefits of the society they should quit whining and get organized politically. Waiting for a "padron" to do it for them is passe.
DIDN'T ALL THE "HISPANIC" LEGISLATORS VOTED TO PROTECT ILLEGAL ALIENS AND NOT AMERICANS!!!!!!
FYI, THE PRESIDENT OF BROWNSVILLE'S TEA PARTY IS A LIBERTARIAN AND THEIR VIP IS A CONSERVATIVE HISPANIC WOMAN!!!!!!!!
SAN ANTONIO'S TEA PARTY PRESIDENT IS GEORGE RODRIGUEZ!!!!!
BOTTOM LINE THE MAJORITY OF HISP. POLITICOS ARE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS AND THEY ONLY REPRESENT & PROTECT ILLEGAL ALIENS NOT HISPANIC AMERICAN CITIZENS!!!!!!!!!!!
IF NO HISPANICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE TEA PARTY THEN WHY THE LOCAL BROWNSVILLE CHAPTER THEIR VP IS A HISPANIC CONSERVATIVE WOMAN?????
SAN ANTONIO'S TEA PARTY PRESIDENT IS A HISPANIC-GEORGE RODRIGUEZ!!!!!!!!!!
AND BECAUSE OF THE TEA PARTY NEW MEXICO JUST ELECTED THEIR FIRST MEXICAN AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN WOMAN !!!!!!!!!!!!
AND BECAUSE OF THE TEA PARTY MARCO RUBIO GOT ELECTED SENATOR FOR FLORIDA, A HISPANIC CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN.
IN FACT THE NOV. 2010 ELECTION WAS A HISTORIC ELECTION BECAUSE OF THE VAST NUMBERS OF "MINORITIES" THAT GOT ELECTED INTO OFFICE. NOT UNDER THE BANNER OF DEMOCRATS BUT, UNDER THE REPUBLICAN CAMP AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM ARE "CONSERVATIVE"!!!!!!!!!!! THIS HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENT WAS ONLY POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT.
SO WHAT MAKES THE TEA PARTY PEOPLE ARE SOOOOOOOOO PREJUDICE????????????
VIVA LOS CONSERVATIVOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
VIVA EL TEA PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a Hispanic i totally agree. These hispanic legislatures by voting against stronger immigration laws to protect the American citizens, they voted to protect and defend ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THEIR ANCHOR BABIES FIRST AND FOREMOST!!!!! In my humble opinion TEXAS HISPANIC LEGISLATORS DO NOT REPRESENT U. S. AMERICAN CITIZEN HISPANICS PERIOD. AND IF THEY DO NOT REPRESENT "US" MUCH LESS ANY BODY THAT IS A U. S. CITIZEN!!!!!!
DON'T BELIEVE ME JUST ASK ANY OF THEM POINT BLANK--DO YOU REPRESENT HISPANIC AMERICAN CITIZENS OR ILLEGAL ALIENS HISPANICS???? NOT ONE WILL ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM NEED TO BE VOTED OUT!!!!!!!!!!
Ok. I've given up enough freedoms, now I have to justify being brown. Yes, that is racist. Yes. This is pre holocaust tactics. No. I know we won't meet eye to eye on this. The TEA party is inherently American. You assimilate in order to be in it. Not a problem until they are still checking you for "ticks" as if we are extensions of the subordinate nations the USA conveniently controls. History repeats itself. I have serious concerns for everyone.
Hispanics are marginalized enough and it's not enough? Please spare me your version of democracy.

"...Hispanics are marginalized enough and it's not enough? ..." If there are any hispanics marginalized it's THE ILLEGAL ALIENS THAT ARE RUINING AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND THAT GOES FOR EVERY ILLEGAL ALIEN FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your bombast is pure rhetoric. Who gives a crap about illegal aliens? This has to do with a crumbling foundation for hispanics americans. The issues that most matter, like funding for public education, are more important than this old red herring.
