AFTER YEARS OF SHOULDERING THE BURDEN, IT'S HEAVE-HO TO UT AND GARCIA

Note: UT-B President Juliet Garcia was said to be so impressed with the institution's new logo that – for once – she was speechless. We. of course have our doubts. El Rrun-Rrun has a reader contest to see who could come up with the best UTB logo and the one on the rights, based on a traditional chalupa (bingo to you bilingually-challenged readers) character of El Mudo (Mundo). The illustration is very apropo since the local residents have shouldered the parasitic UT System for the best part of 20 years by pretending to be cash cows to the master in Austin. There was just no end to their voracious nature as they "transferred" the wealth of one of the poorest communities in the United States to subsidize the presence of the prestigious burnt orange cow skull on the banks of the Rio Grande. Many Texas-Exes will probably wince at that description but for the love of us, we can't think of a better analogy. Atlas once tricked Hercules into carrying the world as had been his perverse punishment by the gods. But Hercules found away to unload the cumbersome burden for all eternity and Atlas ended up with the globe on his back again. Yes, the silent, suffering residents of the TSC district need no longer be silent about the abuses they and their offspring have suffered at the hands of Godess Juliet and her handful of Fates. Buena con el mudo!

Old news amigo. Move on to something else. Who gives a flying ____ about a logo. Tell me more about the Feds and the Livingston case. Why haven't the players (other than that slime ball Limas) in the case not been indicted.

Juliet will dictate the new logo and all other issues related to UT Brownsville. Perhaps the logo should be Juliet being carried by her "Committee"...those who think she is a "Goddess". In fact, a logo to consider would be a "Fill in the Blank Diploma"....since she loves Harvard's liberal education system is "special"... Instead of a Scorpion as a maskot (and what kind of mascot is that???) perhaps, keeping with the insect theme we could have the UT Black Widows. Juliet is going to control every decision, as she did before, and she will continue to try to destroy anyone who doesn't agree with her and her "Committee"

A scorpion as well as black widows are classified as arachnids, not insects. They eat insects. Insects and arachnids are classified as arthropods. Semantics, does it really matter?

A creepy crawler is a creepy crawler no matter what name it goes by.

Juliet will probably choose a SAPO in honor of her husband and her son

maybe a rat or a cockroach would be better for the utb now since all are a bunch of rats and cockroachs for stealing the communtity blind since 1991 with this partnership that made lots of money for queen julieta, so does that mean that utb will leave the tsc grounds as well? TSC taxpayers time to wake up rumplestiskin

OK, if we are really going to capture the spirit of UT in the community, we need a chupacabra for a mascot!

Snakes have no shoulders and therefore cannot bear any burdens on their shoulders. Juliet and her "groupies" are snakes.

yes it did see the chupacabra on the grounds of ??? TSC or UTB or which one is it now??????? confused in brownsville
