Anyone would be better than the current sheriff. Omar Lucio is too much about politics and not enough about law enforcement. Time for Lucio to retire.
He is an honest straight forward lawman, not tied into the corrupt Cameron County politics. That probably means he doesn't stand a chance of winning.
WOW Finally someone with exemplary qualifications.
Now this is the type of individuals that we need so desperately in LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.
He most definitely has my vote.
There is no way that an honest white man can get elected as Sheriff in Cameron County, besides that he is way over qualified. The fact that he is articulate and is not suffering from dementia is the kicker. Sorry Terry it is just not going to work, you are way over qualified and seem to be an honest man, Cameron County is not ready for a real Sheriff just yet.
Mr. Vinson, has got my vote. Reason? He is a firm believer in the Concealed Carry Handgun Law.
(Sorry Terry it is just not going to work, you are way over qualified and seem to be an honest man,)
Mejor mamasela, buey!
Rudolpho.
Idiot is going to lose in the Democrat Primary. What makes him think he could win the nomination against wishes of the people in charge who want Lucio?
I cannot believe what I'm reading "HE'S TOO OVER QUALIFIED" !!!! What's wrong with you LIBERALS?????
All we ever get is a bunch of Liberals with NO QUALIFICATIONS-PURA MIERDA LOW LIFES, finally someone with excellent qualifications and he's just dismissed!!!!
People STOP SETTLING FOR MIERDA !!!!!!
There is NOT ONE GOOD DEMOCRAT IN OFFICE NOW IT'S TIME TO GIVE OTHER PARTIES A CHANCE!!!!
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!
@ Rudolpho
Why you mad? Can't we all just get along?
Looks good on paper but not so good in practice. I had reason to deal with him in a professional capacity a few years back and I found him to be lazy, uninvolved in projects he was suppossed to be leading and he did not return phone calls. Also, when he lost a previous election wasn't he qouted as saying some pretty negative stuff about the people of Cameron County who did not vote for him?
Had an outstanding Concealed Handgun Training Program along with 3 of my friends at candidate Vinson's center. Was surprised at how well qualified he is. His management of law enforcement is the envy of several agencies. He has a nice persona that makes it easy to get along and work with. He is born American but raised locally. Very voter-friendly.
@December 4, 10:48 AM;
I was being facetious, Terry Vinson is one of the few really qualified Lawmen that is in Cameron County. For sure I'll vote for him.
and Rudolpho.....
Mamelo!
Married to a Mejicana? Nuff said, he has earned himself an 'Honorary Mexican Certificate'.
El Fachon Model
MAY BE OVER QUALIFIED BUT I DIDNT SEE ANY STABILITY IN ANY OF HIS WORK EXPERIENCE, ONLY THE VERY MINIMAL JUST TO SAY " I WAS THIS.... AT ? " VERY MINIMAL EXPERIENCE AT ANY JOB HE HAD.... THAT DOESNT MAKE YOU THE BEST FOR ANYTHING, THE QUESTION IS " CAN HE DEAL A FULL 4 TRS TERM AS A SHERIFF?"
your a good man charlie brown but too honest you will or cant win in cameron county, you must be part of gilberto hinojosa el godfather clique to win in cameron and you are not so no can do and voters boxes are manipulated by roger ortiz to whatever gilberto says and wants. this has been going on for many years since late 1980s remeber they run the democRAT party
