CYBERBULLY, ROBLES, TRY SMEAR JOB ON MACDONALD
By Juan Montoya
In what become a predictable, if somewhat tedious, occurrence, a local blogger has targeted another one of this blog's advertisers with threats of judicial complaints, name calling, and bombastic pronouncements predicting damnation in hell.
We speak of the smear campaign against County County-at-Law # 1 Judge Arturo McDonald being waged by a disbarred attorney on a local scurrilous blog (click on top icon at right to get a sample of his wares) that accuses Mac of everything from global warming to stealing the inheritance of widows and feeding orphans to a hungry wolf pack kept that way specifically for that purpose.
This blogger even went as far as to post a photo of a campaign sign in front of law office placed there by McDonald supporters that he says is proof positive that there is a corrupt heart beating in Mac's chest because the attorney who works there was involved in the Able Limas scandal (?).
Doubtless, the photo and the campaign are being buttressed, if not aided and abetted by supporters of challenger Daniel Robles, the former County Court-at-Law # 3 judge who was halfway through his third term when he quit and abandoned the position voters gave him to join a lucrative personal injury partnership with convicted attorneys Jim Solis and Austin Attorney Marc Rosenthal.
(That's Hizzonner in the middle of Solis and Rosenthal in the Yellow Pages cover.)
All that is true and documented.
Solis was sentenced to 47 months in federal prison and three years of probation. He was also ordered to pay approximately $119,000 in restitution for his part in the Abel Limas scandal. He pleaded guilty in 2011 to racketeering charges. He previously testified he gave Judge Limas $250,000 in exchange for favorable rulings.
Rosenthal was sentenced early December by United States District Judge Andrew Hanen to 20 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, and ordered him to pay $13,288,984 restitution for his role in the South Texas bribery scheme.
It's funny that now Robles cites chapter and verse of his rags to riches story but fails to say that he and his partners once graced the front cover of the Yellow Pages directory distributed all over the Rio Grande Valley.
(That's the Yellow Pages 2010 edition ad for the Solis and Robles, Rosenthal firm on top.)
Nowadays Robles speaks of having found God, his humble beginnings, and his role as an underdog in the County Court-at-Law #1 race.
Why did you quit in the first place Dan? And why should voters even consider putting you back in a position even after you swore to uphold the law for them and instead reneged on your promise?

Typical San Benitan with the short man syndrome! That piece of itty-bitty shit posting his campaign ads in the newspaper and putting Elect Judge Daniel Robles? Hey pendejo, you're not a judge anymore! You quit, remember! I voted and voted for McDonald! I ask all other voters to do the same! Send a message to this itty-bitty shit that we don't want anyone who quits and lies to the public about it!
Why is "Boobie" Writman Cervantes so aligned with all the political assholes and corruptors in Cameron County? Is he taking their side because they are losers, just like him???
"Is he taking their side because they are losers, just like him???"
I'm sure that's it.
Dan Robles is just another lawyer who can't make it without being on the public tit. No matter what his beginnings as a migrant worker, he has proven to be just as corrupt as Judge Limas, Villalobos et al. He should be the cellmate of Villalobos.
I'm not voting for this SOB, another corrupted crony to Limas's and others bullshit...
Then this SOB bails out in the middle of his term...so he can partner with these other covicted felons...kiss my assssssss Dan. Your stupid and an idiot to think the citizens will put you back in office...came on just pull out of the race. Your waisting your time!!!
No choice... vote for the other guy...he seems to be a better candicate by a long shot.
