Eyewitness reports indicate that vehicles bearing U.S. government plates accompanied by several units of the Brownsville Police Dept. have descended at the home of Carlos Elizondo, the Brownsville Independent School District trustee who is currently on administrative leave with pay from the Brownsville Fire Dept.
There is no further information available on the reason the feds and BPD officers are there or whether they have a search warrant to enter the home at 2994 Vanessa. BPD sources refused to comment on the presence of their officers at the home.Elizondo, who released a secretly taped recording of City Commissioner Cesar de Leon where he told him he would never harm him, not "intentionally," was placed on leave pending the results of the ambulance-related investigation, among other things.
In the tape, Elizondo maintained he didn't know of numerous things happening in the BISD to which de Leon replied: "O eres muy pendejo o te estas haciendo pendejo," indicating he was not buying Elizondo's claims of ignorance.

here is what the state is investigating independent of this, which should be investigated. After Elizondo refused to give Cesar the $1500 he was demanding while repeatedly saying he and Jessica were the ones protecting him [protecting his from what - maybe this] Jessica and Cesar went public that they were going to take action against Elizondo. This is not a defense for Elizondo, but it is certainly a basis to indict Cesar De Leon, unless he already received immunity

It's time people are held accountable a former Board Members are aware of the Corruption and Abuse of Power. Just shows us what upstanding citizens Tony Martinez supported to serve the City of Brownsville. Tony is just guilty of failing to provide "oversight" of this city and for taking no action to stop the corruption that was going on around him. Mayor Martinez, along with his bud Cesar de Leon should resign.
I am willing to bet that if we fired all elected officials in Brownsville each entity would run smoothly and better for it's citizens. At least all can have a say so on what happens to the lost meat, the stolen money, the buying of favors and all the corruption that seems to fall of deaf ears of our local law enforcement officials. They won't do shit to them. Remember the building permit scandal? What become of that? Nothing they just exposed another scandal to overshadow that one. Look at the fajitas caper, it's being eclipsed by Elozondo. The fajita caper was discovered in August and the Herald is barely breaking the story. I think carlos was a scale goat for the county to cover that fajita mess. Pobre carlos.
