(Ed.'s Note: One of our seven readers said he was driving along the frontage road near FM 802 [AKA Ruben Torres Blvd.] and noticed that a Maserati luxury car had run out of gas and that a Cameron County Sheriff Department deputy sporting the new department threads ordered by Sheriff Eric Garza had pitched in to help the driver gas up.
Our seven readers say that the driver of the Maserati is none other than local attorney Eddie Lucio (not related to the senator of state representative) who successfully defended Cameron County Tax Assessor Tony Yzaguirre in Corpus Christi. A closer looks confirms it. Our Frontage Road correspondent said a Mercedes Benz van drove up and that the deputy protected and served Lucio in his predicament.
With the price tag on the four most popular models ranging from $75,000 to $150,000, one would think a $2.50 gallon of gas would be the least of his worries. Not, apparently, Lucio. Even Maseratis need gas, too, counselor. The four most popular models of the luxury car are priced below.

Emphasize “looks like”. It’s not Eddie Lucio. The rims on his car are different. All bald guys look alike at a distance and I’ve actually seen another bald man with glasses in a same colored Maserati and had to do a double take.
