A SPECTRUM CABLE COMPANY CUSTOMER WAITS, AND WAITS....

(Ed.'s Note: We've all been through it. Whether it's to clarify a cable bill [which for some reason keeps going up and up each month], add an account, or just to end the service, it seems like customers are required to put in a bit of time, sometimes hours, to talk to a service representative. When you get to the center, you are required to list your name on a check in tablet...and wait.

Usually there is a waiting area full of customers while one or two representatives tend to one or two customers for what seems like hours, alternatively punching in sites on their cell phones and laughing to themselves or chatting it up with each other while the customers wait. They act like the Ma Bell of the past before the breakup: "Why care? I don't have to."

Nowadays, they seem to spend most of their time trying to sell you the cable company's phone service in a bundle before attending to the issues you came to address.

As the company holds the cable franchise for the city, there is nothing one can do short of signing up for a dish or satellites service, a complicated matter that requires installation of the dish, double remote controls, etc.

Until Spectrum streamlines its customer services, expect to see sights like this when you go take care of your cable business.)

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) responded to President Joe Biden’s Thanksgiving plans with the first line of a limerick, and Twitter users thought it was a poetic self-own.

Following reports that Biden will celebrate the holiday with family on the Massachusetts island Nantucket, Cruz tweeted this reference to the “there once was a man from Nantucket” limerick that in some versions is a bit, er, crude:

There once was a man from Nantucket…. https://t.co/hPcMnwlQxR

— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) November 16, 2021

Some critics asked Cruz if he actually knew how the naughty version of the limerick ended, and what it implied.

Others finished the verse for him.

Many, meanwhile, suggested Cruz was the last person to be commenting on holiday plans, given his family vacation in Cancun last winter, when his state was hit by a devastating storm.

There once was a man named Ted Cruz
Who crawled around licking Trump’s shoes

There once was a man who ran off to Cancun who frequently shows he is a buffoon. He spends zero time doing his work and constantly resembles a jerk. For all us Texans he can’t be gone too sooN.

Valley Democrats love to lick negroe asses. Notice how the Spectrum ads or television altogether now only shows negroes and stupid white people. Don't see many hispanics on TV or the movies anymore.

Cruz will be out of town due to bad weather.
