The sixth of ten children to Eduardo and Josefa Lucio, Jesus “Jesse” Lucio, was born on September 3, 1952, in Brownsville, Texas.
He started his Golf Pro days in 1981, working part time at the Brownsville Country Club. In 1998 he started his head coaching career at the University of Texas Brownsville/ Texas Southmost College until 2004. From 2006 to 2012 he worked for the First Tee of Greater Brownsville as one of the best coaches.
On July 5th, 1996, Jesse Lucio married the love of his life Ada Ramirez. He met Ada Ramirez in Brownsville and would raise their four children, Jessica Lucio Marren, Jaqueline Lucio Stromquist, Anthony Lucio and Julie Lucio.

After his high school teaching days, Jesse worked with Sunny Glen where he recently obtained a new promotion acting as the Assistant Principal. Football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, held a special place in his heart.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents years ago, grandson Baby Jesse, and brother Joe, whose passing broke his heart. Left to carry on Jessie’s legacy of service and friendship include his wife, Ada; son Anthony; daughter, Jessica, Jaqueline, and Julie. Brothers Eddie, David, Bobby, and Ricky. Sisters, Bea, Bertha, Helen, and Maggie, seven grandchildren, and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, but all who loved and respected Tio Jesse.
In Lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that you contribute to the Immaculate Conception Cathedral for up-keeping of the historical church.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cathedral Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the end of Mass.
